Women in STEM Golf Evening and BBQ
Thursday, October 11, 2018 - Victoria, BC
Tired of sitting out of the company golf game because you don’t play? Join us for a beginner-friendly golf lesson, followed by 9 holes of golf on a fun par 3 course, and a BBQ. We will play best ball (meaning everyone moves their ball to the spot of the best-placed ball). The BBQ will be at The Ridge Café where you can choose a beef, chicken, or vegetarian burger which come with lots of salads and extras.
Women in Engineering and Geoscience Division Networking Event
Wednesday, October 17, 2018 - Vancouver, BC
This evening will be a great opportunity to network with fellow engineers and geoscientists. Through a networking activity, you will be encouraged to meet new people and form connections that you can use through your career. The aim will be to help members make connections, and continue to build a strong and supportive community.
The Women in Engineering and Geoscience Division supports 30 by 30, Engineers Canada’s initiative aimed at increasing the representation of women within the engineering field. This initiative has a goal of raising the percentage of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30% by the year 2030.
