Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Award

Criteria

The candidate has made significant contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives that have had a positive impact on removing barriers to greater equity, diversity, and inclusion in the engineering and geoscience professions in British Columbia. Examples include community outreach and engagement, serving as a role model within the professions, promoting careers in engineering or geoscience, and/or fostering a work environment that promotes and values EDI.

Eligibility

  • P.Eng.
  • P.Geo.
  • P.L.Eng.
  • P.L.Geo.
  • In special circumstances, at the discretion of the Advisory Group, this award may be considered for a non-engineer or non-geoscientist who has contributed significantly to the furtherance of EDI in the engineering and geoscience professions in British Columbia.

Evaluation

Evaluation will consider candidates’ contributions, either personally or through recognized societies and organizations, to EDI initiatives. Nominations should clearly communicate the nominee’s direct and personal contributions or actions and how these had a significant, positive impact on advancing greater equity, diversity, and inclusion in the engineering and/or geoscience professions in British Columbia.
