Forest Engineering Award of Excellence Nomination Procedures

Nominations for the 2020 Forest Engineering Award of Excellence are now being accepted. Nominations will close in November and the award will be presented at the ABCFP Conference in February 2021.

The Forest Engineering Award of Excellence—sponsored jointly by Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia and the Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP)—recognizes excellence and promotes cooperation and leadership in forest engineering in the broadest sense. Nominees may be individuals, organizations or associations responsible for projects that demonstrate or represent outstanding accomplishments in forest engineering. Individuals must be members of either ABCFP or Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Organizations and associations must be recognized as being associated with professional forestry, professional engineering or professional geoscience.

Nominations Packages

To be eligible, projects must have been completed within the past 2 years and carried out by, or under the supervision of, a member of either association. Nominees must be either residents of BC or work for a BC-based firm, or the work must have been carried out in BC. A management, academic or research contribution, or the life work of an individual, may also be considered. The award is presented annually and alternates between associations.
