We have the ideal career opportunity for a building technologist with project management experience and a strong commitment to customer experience and community. In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of the capital maintenance and repair program for NVRC’s buildings, building systems, and equipment.

As a member of the Maintenance and Engineering Services Management Team and reporting to the Manager, Maintenance and Engineering, you will develop and implement a capital maintenance and repair program for all NVRC’s buildings, related systems and equipment; plan, schedule, award, and monitor the work of consultants and contractors; prepare annual, 5-year and 10-year budget estimates for the capital program; supervise the provision of design drawings and specifications for capital projects and review them; and prepare and maintain a variety of capital projects records, documents, manuals, and reports. In rotation with other members of the Maintenance and Engineering Services Management Team, you will also be on call for emergency building and system issues for a portion of the year.

Your qualifications include completion of a diploma from a building engineering technology program plus 5 years of project management experience. A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence is required. Membership or eligibility for membership as an AScT (Applied Science Technologist) or CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) with ASTTBC (Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC) is an asset.

Compensation: $76,760–$85,252 annually, plus NVRC offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to participate in an earned day off program.
