$38.02 to $44.87 per hour

Reporting to the Manager, Engineering Design & Construction, the Inspector 2 leads inspection function by overseeing and administering inspection of capital and land development construction projects, and ensuring conformance to contacts, plants, specifications, municipal standards, regulations, bylaws, and other related requirements.

We are seeking an outstanding individual with thorough knowledge in engineering and survey principles and practices, experience in inspecting and regulating constructions and maintenance projects, ability to read and interpret standards, and specifications, along with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.

Qualified candidates will possess a Civil and Structural Technology Certification or related field, coupled with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience performing technical and inspection work, and eligibility for Certification by the Applied Science Technologist and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preference will be given to individuals holding certification as a Public Works Inspector (CPWI) through the Public Works Inspectors Society.
