Conquer Conflict - Step Into Your Power and Resolve with Respect Seminar. Jim is having a workplace conflict. When his 7 am alarm goes off does he a) spring out of bed thinking "I can't wait to get to work so I can deal with that conflict." or b) pull the covers over his head and start thinking about illnesses he can invent to avoid having to go in to work.

Research shows that the vast majority of us would choose option b. We tend to avoid and accommodate, to put up and shut up, rather than take action to resolve issues that are bothering us at work. We hope that somehow the issue will magically disappear.
The problem is it rarely if ever does. On the contrary, the longer we delay dealing with an issue, the more challenging it becomes to resolve it.
The good news is that research shows that over 95% of workplace conflicts can be resolved within 3 – 5 days: if someone makes a choice to speak up effectively and respectfully. This session will equip and empower you to be able to make that choice.
In this hands on, interactive session you will learn:
  • To recognize your dominant/habitual conflict style
  • To step into your power respectfully and become your own advocate
  • To communicate respectfully in conflict to resolve issues and build healthy workplace relationships
Target Audience - this session will benefit anyone interested in developing communication skills to assist in resolving workplace conflict. The session is also designed to support leaders who deal with conflict among team members, and who are interested in being able to deliver respectful feedback and conduct effective performance evaluations.
