APEGBC is pleased to invite you to the annual Mentoring Program’s Mix and Mingle Event. Come and meet with other mentors and mentees and share your experiences.  The event will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 4:30pm – 7:00pm, at The Coast Coal Harbour Hotel located at 1180 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC.
The evening agenda is as follows:
4:30pm - 5:00pm - Registration
5:00pm - 5:30pm – Introduction and Presentation
5:30pm - 7:00pm - Mix and Mingle
***Light refreshments and appetizers will be provided after the presentation. A cash bar will also be available.

Mentorship and Leadership: Coaching to build leadership skills, one conversation at a time!

The business world tells us that the recipe for building high performance cultures is to develop leadership at every level of an organization.   It is also widely accepted that mentorship programs are one of the best methods to develop a leadership pipeline for organizations.  One of the challenges for professional mentorship programs is how to support the professional development needs of mentors so that they can best support the development needs of mentees.

Deborah Lang, ConRes, BA, MBA, CHRP

Deborah Lang brings with her 20+ years of experience working in senior-level positions in the public and private sectors.  She has direct experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through major organizational change and leadership development initiatives. Throughout Deborah’s career, she has been known for her work as a strategic thinker, team-builder, change-leader, and people-developer. Deborah is an accomplished mentor and coach and has assisted organizations develop leadership at every level - aligning individual, team and organizational goals with corporate strategy.
Deborah is a Senior Learning Consultant with Insights Vancouver and draws from her extensive business experience to develop integrated learning solutions that are creative and results-focused.  She is known as a dynamic facilitator who brings the best out in people so that their learning is memorable, relevant and directly applicable to their everyday work.
Deborah is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), holds a MBA in Executive Leadership, accreditation as a facilitator in Insights Discovery and Insights Navigator Team Effectiveness and holds a Certificate in Conflict Resolution (JIBC).  Deborah is committed to support the development of the next generation of leaders. Accordingly, she serves on the Advisory Council for the BC Human Resources Management Association as Lead of the Mentoring Portfolio.
