Morning Session: SCADA and Monitoring Systems Beyond the PLCs
9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Registration & Breakfast
9:30 AM - 12:00 PM Seminar
The advancement of computer, telecommunication and internet technologies during the last twenty years has fundamentally shifted the focus of the expertise in Control Systems technologies.  With a very limited systematic and focused training in place, Control System personnel are facing numerous challenges to develop, select, utilize, and maintain reliable systems.

The primary objective of this seminar is to allow various stakeholders of SCADA systems to learn more about the SCADA systems as a whole so they can have a better understanding on how to access the much needed data.

This seminar is NOT a PLC or HMI course.

Who can benefit from this seminar?
This seminar is an introductory presentation on the fundamentals of SCADA Systems. No SCADA or Control System background is required for this Seminar. The following people may be interested in this Seminar:
  • Engineers and Technologists from various disciplines who work with SCADA and Control systems or have to work with Control experts
  • PLC Programmers
  • IT staff who have to manage or interface with SCADA or Control Systems
  • Operation supervisors and managers who manage people that use SCADA and Control Systems
  • Project Managers who work with projects that include SCADA systems
  • Corporate managers whose corporate depends on data collected generated from SCADA systems
  • Any corporate personal who directly or indirectly works with data that is being generated by SCADA systems and would like to have more access to data. The SCADA data includes: Production Data, Production Reports, Field Data Capture, Historians, and real-time data
  • Control Systems Software developers
  • University and college students and professors in engineering and computer science programs

Afternoon Session: Remote Monitoring & Control Systems
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM Registration & Lunch
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Seminar
In this lecture, you will learn how various components of SCADA systems interact with one another and how field data can be brought to the Head office for Remote Monitoring and Control purposes.

This seminar is NOT a PLC or HMI course.

Who can benefit from this seminar?
This seminar is suitable for people who have some background with SCADA and Control Systems and are interested in more detail information on Telecommunication, IT Support and Connectivity and Data Presentation topics. The following professionals may be interested in this seminar:
  • Engineers, Technologists, and electricians with SCADA and Control systems background
  • Project Managers
  • IT staff who have to manage or interface with SCADA or Control Systems
  • Any SCADA expert or software developer who needs to establish communication with SCADA devices or systems
  • PLC Programmers
  • Control Systems Software developers
  • University and college students and professors in engineering and computer science programs
