APEGBC Burnaby/New Westminster Branch - Tour of Telus Garden Project Site.

Join us in an interactive technical tour of the Telus Garden project site, currently under construction in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The tour will give APEGBC members the opportunity to view this exciting project first hand and learn about the design innovations and construction methods that are being implemented.  Telus Garden aims to revolutionize the city’s skyline with a new residential tower and office tower. Pursuing LEED Platinum, the 22 story office tower will span 480,000 sq. ft. and be the company’s new headquarters. The 44 story residential tower is targeting LEED Gold.

This civic icon of sustainability features a central plant with high efficiency heat pumps, magnetic bearing chillers and waste heat recovery that power both the office and residential components. With over 10,000 sq. ft. of green roofs including two elevated roof forests, Telus Garden will be a stunning and true representation of British Columbia. Additional innovative features include radiant heating and cooling, demand-driven ventilation and LED lighting. Energy modeling results indicate that Telus Garden will be 35% more energy efficient than the relevant ASHRAE base case.
