APEGBC Burnaby-New Westminster Branch Tour of Toyo Pumps (Site Tour).

We will be having a site tour at a company located in Burnaby called Toyo Pumps North America. Toyo is a world leader in slurry pumping solutions. Their pumps are used in a variety of industries including: Mining, Power, Dredging/Construction, Steel, Petroleum, Chemical, Coal, Food and Beverage, Pulp and Paper, etc. Toyo builds a wide selection of innovative engineered pumps for various applications including: submersible, vertical cantilever, line shaft, horizontal, and high pressure.

During the tour you will:
  • Become acquainted with the alchemic mix of slurry pumping
·         Compare the engineering of traditional heavy duty ‘slurry’ pumping technology with light duty water pumping designs.
·         Understand how Toyo made their mark with the first ‘agitator’ design in the world
·         View some of the amazing products, engineered, designed and manufactured locally and making their mark in some of the nastiest applications around the world,
·         See Toyo’s specifically designed sump testing facility
·         Walk through Toyo’s Burnaby assembly shop
·         Meet some of Toyo’s Engineering team
