Dr. Dan Ryan, Dean of the College of Science and Management (CSAM), will lead us on a tour of the innovative WIDC as its construction progresses, and speak to the new engineer programs being developed at UNBC.

The Wood Innovation & Design Centre will be an iconic multi-use wood building in the heart of downtown Prince George. The building will house academic and research programs from UNBC focused on advanced building systems, engineered wood products, interior wood design and applications, and other value-added wood products.

Dr. Ryan's research interests lie in the area of environmetrics: the application and development of statistical techniques in the environmental sciences. This area of research allows him to combine his strong belief that we must be more sensitive to the delicate balance of nature, with his academic strengths that include a quantitative, precise approach to problems and an intense curiosity about the world around us.

Please bring Person Protect Equipment (PPE) with you.  The building contractor, PCL, only has a limited amount of PPE that may be borrowed.

PPE should include; steel toed boots, a high visibility vest, hard hat, and safety glasses
