Tour of Richmond Energy Garden and Composting Facility.

Harvest Power BC accepts Metro Vancouver municipal green waste and bioprocesses it, deriving marketable soil products and biogas fuel.  For education purposes they also welcome a limited number of public tours. In this tour, we will visit the one of these facilities: Richmond Energy Garden and Composting Facility (or Harvest – Richmond BC).

ARRIVAL: This is an operational site with lots of truck traffic.  Give trucks plenty of room.  Check in at the Scale Office (pull onto the scale and give them your name), then park in the Energy Garden parking lot.

TOUR: 1 hour in the Visitors' Centre with our knowledgeable site managers.  Guests will have an opportunity to look through the observation windows onto the tip hall and hydrolysis tunnels, go out onto the compost catwalk to view their composting operations, and ask many questions.

DRESS: The tour is on paved, carpeted, clean surfaces. We recommend closed footwear.

$10 for members and guests who pre-register online at APEGBC.
$15 for late registrations.
APEGBC members and non-members are also welcome!
