APEGBC Richmond/Delta Branch Tour of D-Wave Systems.
D-Wave
was founded in 1999 with the goal of making practical quantum computing a reality. For 5 years the company worked to gather intellectual property and ideas on how quantum computing might be accomplished. Key insights about how such a system could be built led to the decision to utilize and advance superconducting technology as the basis of the quantum computer.
Today D-Wave is the recognized leader in the development, fabrication, and integration of superconducting quantum computers. The D-Wave systems are being used by world-class organizations and institutions including
Lockheed-Martin, Google, NASA, and USC
. D-Wave has been granted over 100 US patents and has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers in leading scientific journals.
The Richmond/ Delta branch of APEGBC would like to invite you to dinner and tour presentation of the D-Wave facility on Tuesday November 4th.
