The Sea-to-Sky Branch will be holding its 15th Annual Summer BBQ at the home of Bill and Vivian Vaughan.  Come out and enjoy a pleasant afternoon with fellow engineers and geoscientists in an exquisite garden setting and relish the excellent BBQ buffet and sit-down dinner.  Bring your spouse and family (free admission for children) for this opportunity to mingle, socialize and network with other members of our Sea-to-Sky Branch and their families, and to meet our distinguished guests.  Wine, beer, coffee, tea and soft drinks are included in the registration cost.  We look forward to seeing you all at our traditional Summer BBQ.

Location: The home of Bill and Vivian Vaughan, 4621 Woodburn Place, West Vancouver, BC.
Travelling on the Upper Level Highway # 1, take the Caulfield Exit No. 4 and proceed north on Northwood Drive, turn right onto Woodburn Road then right again into Woodburn Place.  Once you have spotted the house with the APEGBC banner, please park safely and walk back to the event.
Please see map link for more directions.

At 4:30 we will be having a beer tasting, with a presentation by expert George Pajari about the origins and development of different styles of beer. A selection of craft beers will be provided for sampling.
George Pajari is a professionally-trained craft brewer who has never worked a day as a professional brewer. He is a BJCP-certified beer judge, formerly an elected full member of the Institute of Brewing, UK, and was the beer columnist for the North Shore Outlook newspaper until it closed down earlier this year. In real life, George is a certified expert in information security and cloud security architecture.
George is extremely well versed in the topic, and his talk should prove both educational and entertaining, whether you are a beer drinker or not.
