Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a key step and common starting point for asset reliability improvement. When combined with Weibull analysis and other tools such as RCM, FMEA's lead to optimized strategies for reducing or eliminating the effects of failure such as: safety risks, environmental risks, negative business effects, lost production and consequential damage. This seminar will give participants detailed training on conducting an FMEA as well as an overview of how to transform the FMEA into a strategic plan. Topics discussed with include:

John Byers, P.Eng., Director Reliability and Asset Management- Reliability Works Inc.

John Byers, P.Eng., is a Mechanical Engineer who brings over 25 years experience in the field of Reliability, Maintenance and Asset Management. Prior to heading Reliability Works, John was Chief Maintenance Engineer at a large Aluminum Smelter. He has extensive experience in all aspects of asset management, is a proven leader and has successfully managed capital projects ranging in value from $200K to $30M+. John holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Calgary in Alberta and has extensive international experience. He is an accomplished trainer and facilitator for Reliability Centered Maintenance and Maintenance Improvement studies.
 
Reliability Works Inc. was established in 2004 and is an internationally recognized Reliability Engineering company specializing in providing analysis of, and recommendations for, any equipment or system that is required to achieve more Reliability, higher Availability, repeatable Maintainability and increased Safety.
