Professional engineers and geoscientists have the responsibility of managing and evaluating performance of your employees. Each of you have specific goals that you want to be achieved, but does your performance management system, reflect what your organization is trying to achieve?

If somebody were to ask you – “What is your company’s vision & core values what would you say?” If someone were to ask members of your team, how would they answer? For many organizations that may have gone through the trouble to develop their vision, they often become noble words engraved on a plaque that decorates the lobby.

As professional engineers and geoscientists you have used the performance appraisal to serve many vital functions in your organization, but performance appraisal is not an end in itself. Performance appraisals, used to its’ maximum benefit, is the means by which everyone in the organization understands and is held accountable for meeting truly important objectives; in other words – accomplishing the corporate vision. Many formal appraisal systems, if an organization even has one, provides little or no link to the corporate vision of the company.

This seminar will show you how you can take your performance appraisal form in one hand and your company vision in the other hand, so that you can tightly link to two together to achieve your corporate strategy. You will be introduced to effective and clear process for communication and coaching individuals and learn how to create a process that builds employee engagement & accountability.
