Credit: 1 Informal Professional Development Hour (PDH)
Cost: $15 for all members and guests who pre-register online
$20 for late registration at the door

EIT/GIT Seminar "How to Obtain Your P.Eng. or P.Geo. Designation".

Organized by APEGBC Burnaby/New Westminster Branch. 
Learn about the professional registration process to become a P.Eng. or P.Geo. After a short networking opportunity, the speaker will discuss the benefits of becoming a P.Eng./P.Geo., application forms, the law and ethics seminar, the ethics test, examples of applicable experience, how to record/document experience and more. 


Jason Ong is the Manager for the Member-in-Training Programs for Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC). In this position he is responsible for overseeing the internship periods for Engineers-in-Training (EIT's) and Geoscientists-in-Training (GIT's). This involves processing applications as well as maintaining the EIT/GIT Online Experience Reporting System. He also currently oversees all applications for professional geoscience licensure and coordinates the Professional Practice Examination.

Registrants are encouraged to submit questions that they would like answered by the speaker prior to the event. Submit your questions during the online registration process. Time permitting, these questions will be answered during the question and answer period of the evening
