Please join us for an informative presentation and tour of Atlas Roofing Corporation's Polyisocyanurate insulation manufacturing plant, and follow-up Q & A presented by Mr. Craig Osborne and Mrs. Judy Denchev, from the Atlas Roofing Corporation.

The event starts with a process overview and visual presentation at 9:00 AM. Next, the audience will be split into two groups; group 1 takes a plant tour, while group 2 visits the QC/Chemistry presentation. When the first plant tour is complete the groups will trade off; group 2 will have a plant tour and group 1 will have the QC/Chemistry presentation. At the end, both groups will meet in the conference room for a Q&A session.

The Atlas Roofing plant manufactures closed cell, polyurethane modified polyisocyanurate foam for use as board insulation in roofing, wall and under/inter slab applications. This is manufactured in a continuous process by mixing together Methylene Diphenyl Diisocyanate, Polyol, catalysts, surfactant and blowing agents in a closed pressurized system. The mixed liquid chemicals are then poured between upper and lower substrates (facers) and allowed to react in a controlled volume (laminator) to produce a continuous board cellular composite of designated thickness. The product is then trimmed, cut, stacked and packaged for curing and sale. Finished products can be between 0.5” and 5.5” thick with a variety of substrates and can also be made in a tapered configuration.
