Note: We will start with the presentation at 3:00 pm sharp at 31 Elliot Street in New Westminster. Participants are asked to supply their own PPE, including safety glasses, footwear, and hard hat.
Building envelope rehabilitation projects often requires comprehensive engineering services for balcony railing attachments, steel stud framing, wood framing, deterioration of existing structure, window attachments, cladding attachments, and environmental abatement protocol.

This guided tour will provide a complete review of the West Coast Fenestration Replacement Project at Royal Albert Tower, and the challenges experienced during all stages: assessment, development, design & specifications, tender, construction, and City Permits.

The tour will be conducted by Doru Cornescu, P.Eng. with CCI Group Inc.

Speaker:
Doru Cornescu, P.Eng., CCI Group - Engineering Services
Mr. Cornescu, P.Eng. is a Vancouver trained civil engineer and a senior engineer with CCI Group Coquitlam Branch. He studied Project Management at UBC and he is involved in building designs from concept to details, through the construction process. Doru has overseen many of the company’s building science projects and his involvement includes building envelope evaluation and rehabilitation, field review, budget and progress claim review, preparation of contract documents, contract administration and pre/post construction surveys. Also his management and technical expertise has enabled him to provide advice in dispute resolutions and in support litigation.
