At this event we will recognize the 2015 Talbot Award recipient(s) and listen to a presentation by Peter Sparanese, P.Eng., on the history of the Sooke Lake Reservoir and its construction. This evening will include a buffet dinner with salads, entree and dessert. Please register for this event early to reserve your spot at this event.
Sooke Lake Reservoir Presentation
2015 marks the 100
year anniversary of the Sooke Lake Reservoir and the Greater Victoria Water Supply. This presentation will review the history of the Sooke Lake Reservoir and its construction through historic photos and examine how the reservoir has impacted the communities within the Capital Regional District since its construction. The presentation will be given by Peter Sparanese, P.Eng., the Senior Manager of CRD Integrated Water Services, Infrastructure Engineering & Operations. Peter has over 25 years’ experience in provincial, regional and local government. During his career, he has made significant contributions related to infrastructure planning, design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure systems.
