The Deep Bay Marine Field Station supports sustainable shellfish aquaculture development and preservation of coastal ecosystems. For more information about the field station click here. Please specify in your registration if you will be able to attend the tour of the Deep Bay Marine Field Station. 

At approximately 2 km, it is the longest cable ferry in the world.  Cable installation was completed in September and the vessels are currently undergoing field trials. The presentation will highlight the ways some of the technical challenges were overcome and discuss anticipated environmental and economic benefits of the project.
