Course Description

The profusion of recent research into “work-smarter” topics has generated countless books and blogs espousing a wealth of creative strategies. Productivity gains from applying these practices are exceeded only by the cost of not applying them. Unfortunately, busy people have neither the time nor the energy to dig through the literature and sort out what works.
This lively course combines the latest personal-energy-management strategies with a fresh look at workplace behaviour and habits. Participants will create an action plan for generating, renewing and sustaining the energy they need to be creative, engaged, and efficient at work. They will learn how to go beyond willpower and time management to get things done--despite busy schedules. They will also connect the dots between their core values, behaviours, achievements, and the exhaustion resulting from workplace demands. Most important, participants will leave the course with fresh enthusiasm for the possibilities of:
  1. Using time more efficiently,
  2. Managing energy to get more out of the workday
  3. Sustaining optimal performance at work and at home
  4. Regenerating enthusiasm and optimism

Course Content

  • Effective energy management and its critical relationship to productivity, achievement, coping skills, and enthusiasm in the workplace and at home.
  • Core values that drive forward momentum and commitment.
  • Breakthrough science on successful behaviour change.
  • How behaviour change can be supercharged with energy management practices.
This standalone course is designed to pair with Smart Work Strategies: Productivity Hacks that Maximize Workflow Efficiency
