Location: Meet At Park Royal South Parking Lot, Southwest Corner of Marine Dr. and Taylor Way, West Vancouver, BC

Credit: 5 Informal Professional Development Hours (PDH)
Cost: Members and Guests: $11.43 + GST = $12 (Please bring or buy your own lunch).

Please join us for a an excursion that will examine several key locations on the North Shore and provide an overview of the complex and fascinating geological history of our area.


9:00 AM: Assemble at Park Royal South in parking lot at southwest corner of Marine Drive and Taylor Way, West Vancouver
9:30 AM: Caulfield Park shoreline exposures
11:00 AM: Cypress Mountain lookout
12:00 PM: Lower Capilano River
1:30 PM: Lunch break at Capilano Grind coffee house (buy your own lunch).
2:30 PM: Cleveland Dam loop walk
3:30 PM: End of the tour 


Lindsay Bottomer, P.Geo.,FGC, FEC (Hon)
Geological Consultant

Lindsay Bottomer is a geological consultant with over 40 years worldwide experience in mineral exploration and resource development. He has been based in Vancouver for the last 27 years. During this period he has worked in more than 30 countries, mainly in the Americas and Eastern Asia.
He was elected to the APEGBC council for three terms, and has received major industry awards from AusIMM, AMEBC and APEGBC. He currently leads a sessional field course for North Shore Elder College on the geology and history of the Vancouver region.
