EIT/GIT Seminar "How to Obtain Your Professional Engineering or Geoscience Designation"

Location: BC Hydro, Edmonds Auditorium, 6911 Southpoint Drive, Burnaby, BC
(The building is accessible from Edmonds Skytrain Station or free street parking is available on 20th Street and Station Hill Drive).
Presenter: Jason Ong is the Manager of Member-in-Training Programs for the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC. 
Cost: $10 for Members
$15 for late registrations at the door (space permitting only).
$10 for APEGBC Student Members

(Cost includes light refreshments).
This presentation will go over the benefits of becoming a P.Eng. or P.Geo., application forms, the law and ethics seminar, the ethics test, examples of applicable experience, how to record/document experience and more.

Note that the EIT/GIT experience reporting system and process has changed considerably over the past few years, and this session will go over the current requirements.


Speaker

Jason Ong is the Manager of Member-in-Training Programs for the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC. In this position, he is responsible for overseeing the internship periods for Engineers-in-Training (EITs) and Geoscientists-in-Training (GITs). He also currently oversees all applications for professional geoscience licensure and coordinates the technical examination program as well as the Professional Practice Examination.
