As part of National Engineering and Geoscience Month 2017, the Fraser Valley Branch of APEGBC is hosting a Popsicle Stick Bridge Building Competition as well as a pre-contest Workshop at the Surrey campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University .
The Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition challenges students, age 9 to 14 years (grades 5 - 9), to build a bridge using only popsicle sticks and glue, as well as design it to be capable of holding heavy loads. Load bearing capacity is tested during the day of the event. This event has been running over the last few years with a very good participation from schools in the Fraser Valley.
We are seeking sponsorships to help us run these events. Contributions anywhere from $50-$500 will go a long way! To sponsor our event, please read more below for details.
