Kathy Tarni-Lokhorst, P.Eng., FEC

Kathy_Tarnai_Lokhorst-(1).jpgKathy is the Principal at the Lokhorst Group Ventures Inc. She also teaches mechanical engineering at Camosun College, in Victoria. Ms. Tarnai-Lokhorst has served in the education sector in academic and institutional governance and in the association on Council, on the Mentoring, Governance, Audit Committees as well as at the division and branch level for many years. She is currently the chair of the APEG Foundation.

Ms. Tarnai-Lokhorst received her Bachelor of Applied Science in mechanical engineering from the University of British Columbia, her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and is commencing her Doctorate at Royal Roads University in interdisciplinary studies, seeking an educational solution to the gender imbalance currently existing in engineering and geoscience. She is currently serving the second year of her second term on Council.
