High Angle UAVs are fast to deploy and allow clients to save time and cut operating costs, while reducing risk to personnel in situations that would otherwise be difficult, dangerous, or inaccessible. The Ground Station provides a live video downlink, allowing clients to review and respond to the data immediately.
High Angle has been granted a Standing Special Flight Operations Certificate by Transport Canada, providing same-day clearance for operations anywhere in British Columbia, Canada, and they are registered with WCB, and all operations are fully insured.

About the Speaker
Paul Hunter, B.SEng, M.A.Sc (in progress)
Paul is a budding entrepreneur and innovator, applying his deep knowledge of UAV system design and operation to help deliver significant improvements to inspection processes in heavy industry and infrastructure. Paul received his Bachelor of Software Engineering with distinction from the University of Victoria in 2015, during which he honed his systems research, development, and project management skills leading the software development team for four years at UVic’s Aeronautical Engineering and Research Organization, AERO.
During his co-op internships with Research in Motion, now BlackBerry’s, Software Defined Radio Team, and Microsoft’s Hyper-V Virtualization Team, Paul developed a knack for system design and testing strategies that allowed for validation of critical system components in BlackBerry 10 and Microsoft’s Azure Cloud Platform.
Joining the High Angle UAV team in 2015 Paul now heads technical and flight operations, overseeing UAV system, maintenance and integration, safety, and operational standards and procedures, ensuring safe operations and utmost security to HA clients’ assets. All of this driven by Paul’s interest in full-stack systems development to create high performance and fault-tolerant systems.
