Come join us for our Annual General Meeting for Tri City Branch as well as a technical seminar on the Grade Crossings Regulations for Federally Regulated Railways.

Railway companies and road authorities are jointly responsible for managing safety and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements at railway crossings. The presentation will provide an overview of the Grade Crossings Regulation, with a focus on elements that will be of particular interest to Road Authorities and municipalities, including safety concerns and requirements related to sightlines, blocked crossings, whistle cessation, traffic signal interconnection and financial assistance for crossing improvements. We will also discuss what it means to have railways in our communities and how rail safety considerations can influence land use planning and new developments.

This is also a great opportunity to learn about your local branch and volunteering opportunities to give back to the community. All disciplines are welcome, including GIT and EIT.
