The Ruskin Dam and Powerhouse Upgrade Project represents one of the most challenging projects in BC Hydro’s recent history and touches on almost every facet of project management. The presentation will take you on a journey through the project and its challenges, and will provide some insight into the strategies and tactics used in identifying, controlling, and responding to project risks.

The John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project was procured through an alternative procurement model which defined a new asset class for Public Private Partnerships in Canada. This presentation will step through the project life-cycle from defining the project, building support for the work, regulatory approvals, execution of procurement through a Design-Build-Finance-Rehabilitate model, and conclude with an overview on the current status of the project which is in implementation.
