Join the application specialists at Zaber Technologies for a personalized tour through Zaber Technologies’ corporate headquarters where they design and manufacture all devices in-house. During the workshop, they will introduce the basics of precision actuation and cover considerations to keep in mind when planning your applications. They will showcase and discuss examples of applications using precision actuation and demonstrate some of them on their devices. Finally, a hands-on portion will give you the chance to speak with their application specialists one-on-one while testing their products. Light refreshments will be served.

About Zaber Technologies
Zaber Technologies designs and manufactures precision motion control devices with optional integrated controllers and encoders. This tour and workshop will be of interest to engineers working with motion control and applications at the micrometer scale, but also to anyone who is interested in learning more about precision actuation. Possible applications include photonics and optics, life sciences, microscopy, and industrial automation.

Mike McDonald, B.A.Sc.
Mike has been doing technical support at Zaber for over five years. He specializes in industrial automation, robotics, and high-load applications. He has a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from UBC.
Sofia Moreno, B.A.Sc.
Sofia graduated from UBC with a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics, and has been at Zaber for three years. Her areas of specialization include photonics and optics, imaging applications, and metrology.
Albert David, B.Eng.
With a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from UVIC, Albert has been with Zaber for two years. His areas of specialization include vacuum applications, microscopy, and life sciences.
Nancy Chu, B.A.Sc.
Nancy is the newest application specialist at Zaber. She graduated with a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from UBC.
