Keynote Presentation: Translink - Building Momentum for 2017/2018 and Beyond

Sany R. Zein, P.Eng., Vice President, Infrastructure Management and Engineering, TransLink, will present and take a quick look back at TransLink's achievements in 2016, then focus on looking ahead to the exciting transportation projects, challenges, and opportunities in the Metro Vancouver region in 2017–2018 and beyond.

About the Speakers

Ed_Casas.jpgDr. E.F. (Ed) Casas, P.Eng., is an instructor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Dr. Casas was previously an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UBC and taught wireless communications, design of digital and microcomputer systems, digital instrumentation for mechanical systems and several other courses. He earned his Master of Engineering in electrical engineering at McMaster University and, previous to that, earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in electrical engineering at the University of Ottawa.

sany-zein.jpgSany R. Zein is the Vice President of Infrastructure Management and Engineering at TransLink. He oversees an asset portfolio valued at $12 billion, and an annual capital program worth $1 billion. Sany is responsible for capital project delivery, major project development, TransLink’s Infrastructure Project Management Office, road and bicycle infrastructure funding programs, operations and maintenance for three major bridges, and the enterprise asset management program. Sany is a registered Professional Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the private and public sectors, including project experience throughout Canada and the United States.
