This webinar will provide a backgrounder on metal leaching and acid rock drainage, as well as issues that can arise while planning and constructing resource roads. Examples of ML/ARD problem sites from various projects within British Columbia will be presented. Planning tools, regulatory background, and mitigation measures that road planners can use to address the hazard of ML/ARD originating from resource roads will be outlined.
