Exercises with computer models are used to provide hands-on training. All the necessary background information needed to understand the fundamental theory is provided. Consequently, the course is relevant to all water treatment professionals including treatment system operators, design engineers, and plant/regional managers interested in membrane technologies for water treatment.
Dr. Pierre Bérubé, P.Eng., Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia, teaches this course. Dr. Bérubé has over 25 years of research and consulting experience dealing with membrane systems for water and wastewater treatment. He has authored over 100 publications on membrane theory and operations.
