Watersheds provide many essential services of nature and facilitate the movement of sediment, nutrients, and freshwater from headwater regions to downstream rivers, lakes, and oceans. The transfer of material through a watershed is governed by hydrogeomorphic processes which change with increasing scale and over time in response to changes in landcover, climate, and other factors.

In this webinar, Dr. Kim Green will talk about how different watershed physical characteristics contribute to different hydrogeomorphic processes, which lead to fundamental differences in stream channel morphology and responsiveness to land cover or climate change.
