Municipal Engineers Division Tour: City of Vancouver Bike Tour and Networking

Time: 1:00 PM–1:30 PM: Registration and Introduction to Mobi by Shaw Go Bikes
1:30 PM–4:15 PM: Bike Tour by City of Vancouver
4:30 PM–6:30 PM: Networking at Yaletown Brewing Company

For those that are unable to attend the whole event, there is a networking only option when registering online.

Cost: Municipal Engineers Division Member Rate (tour and networking session): $65.00 + GST = $68.25

Non-Division Member Rate (tour and networking session): $90 + GST = $94.50

Municipal Engineers Division Member Rate (networking session only): $10.00 + GST = $10.50

Price includes appetizers as part of the networking session. Please bring cash or credit card if you wish to purchase drinks or additional food items.

In partnership with the City of Vancouver and Mobi by Shaw Go, the Municipal Engineers Division has arranged a cycling tour of the City’s all ages and abilities cycling infrastructure, new downtown plazas, as well as other interesting engineering sites.

Sites on the tour will include:

  • Burrard Bridge
  • SEFC Energy Centre
  • Science World Bike Counter
  • Quebec and 1 St. Protected Intersection
  • Oak St. and 7th Ave. Mini Park
  • Viaducts removal

The tour will generally follow cycling routes that have been designed to be a comfortable ride with several water breaks and stops along the way. Total riding time will be just over 1 hour.

Special Instructions

  • Option is available to attend the Networking Session only,
  • Helmets will be provided, but participants may bring their own,
  • Mobi bikes include a small basket to carry some small belongings,
  • Bring a filled water bottle with you to stay hydrated. There will be opportunities to refill along the way,
  • Bike tour will proceed rain or shine. Dress for the weather, and
  • Appetizers will be served at the networking session. Please bring cash or credit card if you wish to purchase drinks or additional food items.


  • Due to space limitations, event is limited to 25 participants.
  • Guest/Non-member registration: If you are not a member of Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia, you can register online by quickly creating a 'Non-member' account.
