The hour and a half tour to the Powerhouse at Stave Falls will include a short film, time with our interactive exhibits including a Tesla coil electricity demonstration, and a guided tour of the Visitor Centre. Please see below for more details.

The Powerhouse is an interpretive center that BC Hydro continually dedicates efforts to educating the public through displays, interpretation, education, and direct action. You can experience all of this and more when you visit Stave Falls Powerhouse:

  • Understand how hydro-electricity is produced.
  • Learn the components in a hydro-electricity generating station.
  • Learn of alternative ways of making electricity.
  • Help your group understand electricity in everyday living, and
  • Have fun!
