This is both a technical tour and members' social event. The Langley Events Centre is a 322,000 ft2 facility, consisting of an arena, triple gymnasium, banquet hall, fieldhouse, double gymnasium, fitness and community centre, gymnastics training facility, meeting rooms, and nearly 1,500 parking stalls. The facility opened its doors in 2009.

A tour of the facility will be provided, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and architectural building systems, as well as the ice-making refrigeration plant, which serves the arena. Langley Events Centre facilities management staff will provide the tour and answer any questions.

Following the tour, the group will enjoy the Vancouver Giants hockey game, as a section of seats has been reserved for our group. The Vancouver Giants are a Western Hockey League team who has seen many of its alumni reach the National Hockey League.
