Cathy Schmid is a professional engineer who specializes in rock engineering for mining and linear infrastructure projects. She graduated from Queen's University with a B.Sc. (Eng) in 2002, and an M.Sc. (Eng) in 2005. Cathy has worked at mining operations for PlacerDome, Inco, Areva, and Cameco, and has worked for BGC Engineering in Kamloops as a geotechnical consultant since 2008. She is a prairie kid at heart, and loves to work outside with hard-working fun-loving people.
Andrew Critchley is a professional engineer with experience as a consultant in the mining industry. He graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering in 2011 and has worked at BGC Engineering in Kamloops ever since. Andrew has worked at mining operations for Taseko, Barrick, and New Gold. He was born and raised in Kamloops and has no plans to leave anytime soon.
