Please join the Victoria Branch for their Registration Information Session. Caroline Westra, Manager, Academic and Experience Assessment at Engineers and Geoscientists BC, will review requirements for professional registration. This is a great opportunity for current members-in-training as well as supervisors and mentors to learn more about the registration process.

Come learn about the new reporting system for work experience, as well as the other requirements for professional registration so that you can provide guidance to your juniors.

The presentation covers the following topics:
  • The route to professional registration
  • Experience reporting and competency-based assessmenton
  • Law and ethics requirements
  • Members-in-Training (EITs/GITs) and university students are strongly encouraged to attend

Caroline Westra, B.Eng.

Manager, Academic and Experience Assessment, Engineers and Geoscientists BC

Caroline Westra has a bachelor’s degrees in physics and mechanical engineering. She is responsible for overseeing the academic experience assessments for all engineering applications, and is involved in the development and implementation of process improvements. She has spent the last 20 years helping applicants get registered, and has been involved in outreach describing the registration process to potential applicants, especially internationally-trained professionals.
