We all want to do a good job and feel that our work is valued. Sometimes however, what we value most seems unimportant to our leaders. That makes it very difficult for us to be at our best. Good technical skills, reporting systems, the right organizational structure and clear roles are important, but they are not enough if our self-worth is diminished by how we are treated at work.
This session will introduce an approach to leadership that is applicable to engineers, geologists, and managers at all levels. Providing what is needed by others without compromising what you need is essential to being a good leader.
Leadership is for everyone: managers, engineers, geologists, technologists, and support staff. If you work with others you will find this webinar useful.
- Defining leadership,
- Learning about leadership from past experiences,
- Building productive relationships is the essence of leadership,
- Changing behavior to meet the needs of those you want to influence,
- How dependencies affect leadership,
- Providing leadership for “difficult people”, and
- Leadership guidelines for everyone.
