The Accredited Employer Member-in-Training (MIT) Program helps employers attract and retain high-calibre talent, and streamlines the processing and evaluation of applicants seeking professional membership. Under the program, engineering companies that employ engineers-in-training (EITs) work with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia to offer work environments that ensure EITs are able to satisfy the association's experience requirements when applying for their professional engineer (P.Eng.) designation.

This seminar is geared towards company principals, senior engineers, human resources professionals, training coordinators, and engineers-in-training who are interested in establishing this program for their engineering firm. An overview will be provided on how employers can partner with Engineers and Geoscientists BC to accredit their training programs and recommend their EITs for licensure through an expedited, low-risk pathway.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • The benefits for all stakeholders,
  • equirements for participation, and
  • Details on how the program works.
