Cost: Municipal Engineers Division Member Rate (tour and networking session): $65.00 + GST = $68.25

Non-Division Member Rate (tour and networking session): $90.00 + GST = $94.50

Municipal Engineers Division Member Rate (networking session only): $10.00 + GST = 10.50

Price includes appetizers served at the networking session. Please bring cash or credit card if you wish to purchase drinks or other food items.

The Municipal Engineers Division presents a tour of Surrey's new North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex, Traffic Management Centre and District Energy Building, followed by a networking session.
In partnership with the City of Surrey, the MED has arranged a half-day Fall Municipal Facilities Tour and Networking event.  The event has been scheduled in conjunction with the joint MMCD-MED AGM on Friday, November 22 to create a two-day event for those interested.   The Fall Municipal Facilities Tour and Networking Event will include:
  • North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex, newly opened
  • West Village District Energy Plant, newly commissioned
  • Traffic Management Centre at Surrey City Hall
The tour will generally focus on integrating innovation with architectural design, building design, municipal operations and community planning.

Notes

  • The meeting point for the tour will be the first floor foyer/atrium of the City Hall building.
  • The option is available to attend the networking session only.
  • Transportation will be provided to and from the Ice Complex.
  • Capacity for the tour of the Traffic Management Centre and District Energy Building are 20 persons each. Each option is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please indicate your preferred option at registration.
