The Province of BC’s CleanBC Climate Plan lays out GHG reduction objectives to meet Provincial legislated climate targets which are consistent with the Paris Accord. The presentation will discuss the results of the Clean Energy Association’s White Paper which quantifies GHG reduction potential through extensive electrification of the building, transportation, and industrial sectors (LNG and Upstream Gas).
Richard Harper has extensive experience in renewable energy, pipeline feasibility, predesign, design, and construction management for water, sewer, drainage, renewable energy and infrastructure systems. Expertise also includes project management, design and construction management of large infrastructure projects including pipelines, reinforced concrete water retaining structures, intakes, pump stations, weirs, wind farms, small hydro, and shore protection. Many projects included a multidisciplinary approach that involved electrical, mechanical, civil, and environmental disciplines. Richard is currently a member of the Clean Energy Association of BC (CEABC) and Chair of the Marketing Committee. Richard’s primary focus recently has been as co-Author of CEBC’s White Paper on Extensive Electrification to meet CLEAN BC’s GHG emission reduction targets with a particular focus on GHG reduction and business case analysis of extensive electrification of LNG and Upstream Gas.
