The presentation will be given by Kamloops company, Hummingbird Drones, and they will be going over their work, the applications of drone technology in engineering and geoscience, and drone regulation in BC.
Hummingbird is an award-winning, aerial technology company specializing in the application of unmanned aerial vehicle (RPAS) technology in a variety of industrial fields, including: mining, forestry, wildfire suppression, industrial inspection, and many others.
The presentation will be followed by the South Central Branch AGM, which includes an update on the branch activities over the past year, events to look forward to in the upcoming year, as well as the voting of branch executive positions.

Robert Atwood is co-founder and CEO of Hummingbird Drones. He holds a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science from TRU and helped found the company while working as an Initial Attack Wildland Firefighter with the BC Wildfire Service. Since 2015 he has seen this new industry develop through a series of drastic regulatory changes and breakthrough technological advancements.
