Note: Tasks will be general volunteer tasks such as sanding, painting, cleaning, etc. The tasks change as we move through the event. If anyone has renovation skills they will be allocated more skilled tasks. For the most part we will work to have EGBC's team work together as a group.
Important Dates: Please register by Monday, May 20, 2019.
HeroWork is a charity that renovates other charities through big community events called Radical Renovations where community comes together to improve a charity building in a very short period of time. These volunteer events that include dozens of companies and hundreds of volunteers are memorable experiences that people don't soon forget!

Herowork's Spring Project, from June 1 to June 15, is dedicated to Our Place's Therapeutic Recovery Community which has already opened at the old youth detention facility on Talbot Road in View Royal. They are currently ramping up to 50% capacity, which is the limit the facility can handle in its current state. HeroWork wants to help get them to 100%!

This means transforming areas of this former jail into an environment of healing, community, and transformation.

Multiply your team’s impact by joining the HeroPledge. Volunteers can inspire their friends, family, and colleagues to make a “per hour” pledge. For every hour you volunteer you’ll be raising money to fund the project supplies. In addition, for every dollar your team fundraises we are working with sponsors who will double those pledges. Please help us make this happen. We can’t do our renovation without supplies.

Important Information

Once you have registered you will be sent a link to a form to help HeroWork organize volunteers at the event and give you the opportunity to pledge if desired. Please ensure that you fill it out and share with any guests you have registered. To see more information, please check out the poster below.
