Join the Victoria Branch in Colwood for a lunch and learn presentation by Deborah Lokhorst. She will share the challenges of searching for diffuse gas in the circumgalactic medium in the outskirts of galaxies and what they show about the evolution of galaxies.

About the Presenter

Deborah Lokhorst is a fifth-year PhD candidate working with Prof Bob Abraham at University of Toronto and the Dragonfly Telephoto Array. Her work includes designing and implementing an instrumental upgrade for the Dragonfly to add narrow-band H-alpha imaging capability to the telescope.
