Dan Bowen will discuss the conceptual plans to remove all traces of the industrial use of the former Field's Sawmill site adjacent to the Courtenay River at 17th Street in Courtenay, as well as returning the area to wetlands and natural habitat as part of the K'omoks Estuary. Dan will also touch on a couple of nearby smaller completed projects on the Courtenay River, geared to enhancing natural habitat. This project is a partnership between the K'omoks First Nation and The City of Courtenay with facilitation by Project Watershed.
