Please join us for networking, branch announcements, a buffet, dinner and key note speaker who addresses the use of mass timber and wood-frame construction in the building industry. Wood has become more recognized in the construction industry as an important, innovative, sustainable, and safe structural material. The environmental benefits of wood buildings play a key role in sustainable development and reducing the impacts of climate change.

Advanced construction technologies and modern mass timber products are proving that building tall with wood is not only achievable, but also gaining momentum and interest from the design and construction sector, especially with the early adoption of mass timber technology for construction of buildings up to 12 levels in BC. This presentation will provide participants with information about what is possible when building with wood.
