Event Description

Please join the West Kootenay Branch for a tour of the Kalesnikoff Lumber Mill.

About the Event

Kalesnikoff Lumber Co. Ltd. was founded in 1939. Since then, it has expanded into a modern, multi-species 75 million fbm capacity mill equipped with 5 state-of-the-art Steam Injection Dry Kilns. It offers over 1,000 different products in both custom and standard dimensional sizes. In March 2019 the company announced an expansion into Mass Timber production. The new 110,000 sq ft facility will produce glu-lam beams and cross laminated panels. The facility may be complete by the day of the tour. The Mill’s location, halfway between Calgary and Vancouver and near the USA/Canada border enables efficient shipping across Canada and internationally.
