Alice Kruchten, P.Eng.

Practice Advisor, Engineers and Geoscientists BC

Alice Kruchten, P.Eng., is a Practice Advisor with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. In this role, Alice is responsible for managing the development of the organization's professional practice guidelines, engaging with various stakeholders to address professional practice concerns, and for providing advice to registrants regarding practice issues. Alice provides staff support to the Environmental Professionals and Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Divisions. Alice is an environmental engineer with 8 years' experience in civil engineering and environmental consulting in BC. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering), and a Master of Engineering Leadership (Integrated Water Management Engineering), both from the University of British Columbia.

Duncan Sutherland

Legal Counsel, Policy, Audit and Practice Review, Engineers and Geoscientists BC

Duncan Sutherland is the Legal Counsel, Policy, Audit and Practice Review with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Duncan is responsible for providing legal advice to support the Professional Practice, Standards and Development department, the Audit & Practice Review Committee and the implementation of the Professional Governance Act more broadly. Duncan provides staff support to the Regulation of Firms Advisory Group and the Audit & Practice Review Committee. Duncan holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia with a business law concentration and a specialization in environmental and natural resource law. Prior to joining Engineers and Geoscientists BC, Duncan worked as a financial journalist and at a boutique law firm specializing in administrative law.
